I am a lover of truth, self-love, development and awareness, travelling, adventure, dogs, family, sunsets, good coffee, tea, friends, community, belly laughs, creating, singing, silence, nature and LIFE, however it shows up.
I am passionate about my work, helping others and being of service. I changed my name to Prema Joy in Feb 2015 after a transformational, deeply profound trip to India. My spiritual name was given to me by a Master and I decided to keep it. My second name has always been JOY.
My journey of self-discovery started 32 years ago, when I walked away from Domestic Violence and Alcholism. Healing my own self-worth issues, fear, and addictions led me to gain many insights and skills as a Journey Practitioner, coach, Mentor, author, intuitive counsellor, program facilitator, meditation facilitator, artist, singer and speaker.
My passion has become helping and inspiring people to further develop their own skills and accept happiness in their lives, and I have worked with people from all walks of life.
A mother of 2 and a grandmother, I have spent many years in the Community Sector, working with people in not-for-profit organisations including Aboriginal Communities. I have the utmost respect and love for their journey.
Working previously in my own Businesses, Sacred Dimensional Pathways, and Awakening Hearts & Healing Assoc, facilitating workshops, meditation, retreats, and one-on-one counseling and emotional healing has given me great insights, knowledge and experience as well as courage to give anything a go.
I was led to The Journey with Brandon Bays in 2005 and was able to delve deeper into my own past pain, grief, abuse, abandonment, and self worth issues to enable deep healing. Discovering the truth of who I am, a greater passion to love & accept myself fully, inspire and serve others was born.
I have been lucky enough to work with girls in the slums of Mombassa, collectively raise money for Down Syndrome by trekking in the Grand Canyon, and for Because I Am a Girl.
I have co-written and recorded a video/song with hip-hop artists from Youth Shift Africa, sung in a Women of the World choir and a girl band, travelled to India several times including a Yatra in 2009 and many other wonderful experiences too many to mention.
Currently I work with clients from all over the world, helping people to heal, change, live the life they want, and get their message and authentic self out there. To trust themselves, their intuition, empower and come home to themselves.
